Passive Income Tip: Always Gather Information
One of things that I see constantly is people who insist on not learning for themselves. They will have a question, issue, or problem. But instead of finding a solution themselves, they will ask me, “How do you do this?” or “Do you know anyone who can do this?” Now I know there are lots of people who are just starting out or who aren’t tech savvy, etc. And I’m all for helping people but there comes a point where you need to learn this stuff for yourself. You can’t expect people to hold your hand through building your business. It won’t happen.
Here is a secret. A lot of times when someone asks me a question, I don’t know the answer. To find the answer I open up Google do a quick search and I can usually find the answer or links to further information pretty quickly. The person is happy that I helped them. But I’ve just lost 15 minutes of my time. Again, I’m happy to help but I have seen patterns with certain people.
We need to always gather information about business, the industry/niche we are in, the latest tools, trends, techniques, and tips. I am constantly finding people to network with, services to use, and passive income resources to archive. Similar to my point on being skilled, you need to constantly be growing and learning new things. If knowledge is power, make sure that you are constantly increase yours!
Do a simple Google search. There is a wealth of free information out there waiting to be found. Here are some links to some Google search tips.

How I Make Money With Web Hosting
I plan to let some stuff out of the bag here. But my goal is to help people so here we go.
First, what is web hosting? Web hosting is where you pay someone (or company) to ‘host’ your website on their web servers. Think of it like renting an apartment or house. You pay a set fee each month to live in the apartment. In the same way people pay a monthly fee to use space on someone’s web server to have their website online.
People who got into this business early made a killing. This is because people started to see the power of the internet and started to rush out to get shiny new websites. And will all these new websites need to be hosted somewhere.
One option is to host it yourself. However to do this you need to buy your own web server. The price for this a couple thousand. Plus, you’ll need to maintain it yourself; installing and updating software, etc. If something breaks there is no customer service to call; it’s just you. Because of this most people opt to pay for web hosting.
Web hosting companies will maintain the servers, update software, and make sure your website stays online. Think of them as your website landlords. And there is a way you can profit from this. You can start your own web hosting business even if you don’t know the first thing about hosting a website or servers.
Now most people will tell you in order to make money with web hosting without web hosting knowledge then you either become an affiliate or reseller. There is a difference between the two.
First, a web hosting affiliate refers someone to the web host company. If that person purchases a hosting account, you as an affiliate earn a commission. This commission is usually a one time payment between $30 – $90.
A reseller is someone who “resells” web hosting most likely under their own brand. They get their own website for their business and get people to sign up for hosting. However the hosting is provided by another company. They just mark up the prices however they like. Usually for this you need to pay a higher monthly fee that a regular hosting account to keep this business going.
So those are the most well known ways to do it. Now I will show you the way I do it.
