What is Passive Income?

So let’s break down what passive income is. Passive means “not involving visible reaction or active participation”. Income means “the monetary payment received for goods or services, or from other sources, as rents or investments.” So to put them together means “monetary payment received for goods or services not involving visible reaction or active participation”.

Now let me be clear, to build a real business online  you have to treat it like a real business. There will be some work involved. However, once things are set up and set up correctly you can reap the benefits.

And this is why you are here right? This is what we all want. To live the life that we want. To have free time. To enjoy our families. To not have to worry all the negative things that come with having a regular 9-5 job. Here are some things I don’t have to worry about anymore.

Waking up early to get to work on time.
Currently there is no pressure to be somewhere on time. I don’t have to worry about getting written up. I don’t need to work about needing to work late because I got to work late.

Rush hour traffic
Since I make my own schedule I can avoid traveling when everyone else is trying to get to work. And even if I travel during rush hour since I don’t have somewhere to be at a specific time it’s a much less stressful ride.

Salary Cap
A company will only pay you what they think you are worth. During the interview process you are trying to prove to them that not only are you right for the job; but you are worth X amount of money per year.  To make more money at a job you have 2 choices. Work more hours or get a raise. Also, you need to jump through hoops to get a raise.

With passive income you can make as much as you want. You can have as many income streams as you want. If I want to make more money, I create another income stream. You decide how much you want to make.

Company Politics
I work with who I choose to work with. I don’t need to deal with certain people for the good of some company. If I feel it’s not a good working relationship between us, we part ways. And since I am not working for someone I don’t need to look for another job.

Stress
Deadlines, meetings, project plans, monthly reviews, problems, customer service, sales targets, etc. are things that I never want to go through again. If you are not enjoying what you do it makes it even harder. I’m been blessed to do what I love so my “work” isn’t really work. It’s fun.

Now to accomplish this online does require some initial work. However, once  that’s done we can sit back and enjoy the benefits of passive income. (while creating another passive income stream)
